Up-coming Events

Visit Our Booth - at the Artisan/Farmers market in downtown Washington. We will be there the 2nd weekend of the month, April thru October. We will be featuring artists from the gallery who will give demos and talk about their art work. The gallery will open at 8am on these dates as well.

Thru July - Riverwalk gallery artists will display art at the Turnage Theater Gallery for the month of July.

July 25 - Writer's Corner; Marni Graff, from Hyde County  will be the featured author. She will be speaking about her new mystery book  Blue Virgin.

August 19 - "Dog Days of Summer" artist reception 6-8pm at Riverwalk Gallery. Join the artists for new artwork featuring the theme  "Dog Days of Summer", wine, great food and conversation.

November 14 - Writer's Corner/ Meet the Authors at Riverwalk Gallery. The gallery features books by local authors.

November 19 - "Harvest Moon" artist reception 6-8pm at Riverwalk Gallery.Join the artists for ne artwork featuring the theme "Harvest Moon", wine, great food and conversation.

New Announcements

Rick Bland was award 1st place, Traditional Monochrome category, for his photograph "Bands of Time" at the Beaufort County Arts Council's 3rd Annual Juried Photography Exhibit. He also received an Honorable Mention, Places category, for his photograph "De Vargas Street, Santa Fe".

Dodi Groesser won second place at the Martin County Arts Council Art Show in the Oils/Acrylics category. John Groesser won an Honorable Mention in the same category.

Milton Bland, pottery, Dodi Groesser and John Groesser, oils, were juried into the Greenville Museum of Art juried exhibit.

Carolyn Sleeper was awarded an honorable mention at the Martin County Arts Council Art Show in the three dimensional category.

David Clark won 2nd place for "Tracery" in Nature and Landscapes and 2nd Place for "Momentous" in Traditional Monochrome category at the Photography Exhibit at BCAC.

Jeff Jakub has been awarded signature membership with the Southern Watercolor Society. His painting of "The Charleston Basketweaver" was juried into the 2010 exhibition in Kentucky running March 27-April 30.

Jeff Jakub was elected to Who's Who in American Art for 2010. This is the second time he was honored. Jeff has won over 250 awards and honors. Currently he is President of Brushstrokes in Greenville NC, and board and signature member of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina.

Brenda Haislet has a watercolor show, Innerbanks Impressions, at The North Carolina Estuarium, Washington, NC, which will run through December.

Pat Holscher's colorful seagull painting,”Family Dynamics”, has won the Gold Medal of Honor in the American Watercolor Society's (AWS) 142nd International Annual Exhibition. This is the top award for watercolor artists in the United States!

Valda Belyeu teaches adult classes at Beaufort County Community College and Pitt County Arts Council at Emerge. She will also be offering a Jewelry Designer Day Camp for kids July 5-9 at the Blind Center in Washington.
